Little Crackers

Nutcracker

1968. Young Kitty has the starring role in her ballet school's Christmas production of The Nutcracker and she wants more than anything for her mum to be in the audience. But as the performance starts, Kitty sees that her seat is empty. Suddenly we're transported to an asylum, where Kitty's mum is being treated. As the little girl searches the wards for her, she meets a range of characters who appear strangely familiar.

This Little Cracker was dedicated "For my three sisters, in loving memory of our darling mum Katie".
