Little Crackers are seasons of autobiographical comic shorts from Britain's best-loved stars. The all-star line-up includes performances by Dawn French, Catherine Tate, Kathy Burke and Stephen Fry with home-grown favourites, Victoria Wood and Bill Bailey, directing their own tales.

Meera Syal's 2010 short was broadcast in 3D - the UK's first ever scripted TV comedy to be so. In 2012, shorts from Paul O'Grady and Jason Manford will also be broadcast in 3D.

The third series included contributions from Sharon Horgan, Omid Djalili, Joanna Lumley and Tommy Tiernan. Each 15 minute installment was immediately followed by a 15 minute behind-the-scenes documentary.

The strand returns for a fourth series this Christmas with Martin Freeman confirmed as one of the stars. Each will again comprise a fifteen minute film and a fifteen minute behind the scenes look at its journey to the screen. Set in 1977 at Christmas, Martin Freeman will write, direct and star in his cracker playing his dad.
