The duo make great efforts to give the material real freshness.
Veronica Lee, The Arts Desk, 5th February 2016DVD review: Bill
An irreverent Shakespearean romp, not just for kids.
Graham Rickson, The Arts Desk, 5th February 2016Leicester Comedy Festival review: Jen Brister
As a work in progress, Jen instantly made it clear that some of her work would make us laugh while some of it would not. "Let's hope it's funny," said Jen, with obvious anxiety in her voice. Watching Jen on stage, I could not help but feel I am as far from her target audience as possible.

Leicester Comedy Festival review: Patrick Monahan
With a billed one-hour gig starting 10 minutes early and ending 20 minutes late, writes Lizz Brain, no-one is ever going to accuse Patrick Monahan of providing poor value for money. He doesn't short-change in the laughter stakes, either.
Lizz Brain, Leicester Mercury, 5th February 2016Rory McGrath: My six best books
Rory McGrath, 59, is known for the comedy sketch show Who Dares Wins and as a regular panellist on They Think It's All Over. He is currently doing his first stand-up tour Rory McGrath Remembers (...Or Is It Forgets?). Here, he talks about books including Titus Goran and The Day of the Triffids.
Caroline Rees, The Daily Express, 5th February 2016Don't panic, it is funny... in parts
Nobody could ever make a better Captain Mainwaring than the late, great Arthur Lowe, but Toby Jones pulls off the pomposity, the middle-class chippiness and, above all, the comic timing, to something close to perfection.
Brian Viner, Daily Mail, 5th February 2016Jo Brand 'pissed all over her clothes' on walk
Jo Brand's incredible Hell of a Walk for Sport Relief turned out to be wetter than she expected, as she "pissed all over her clothes" during the challenge.
Harry Fletcher, Digital Spy, 5th February 2016Reeves and Mortimer: Poignant Moments tour review
Not everything works 100 per cent. Though plenty love him, I'm still not convinced by Dr Shakamoto, probably because of that dodgy East Asian accent ('I rive in Reeds') - even though they try to head off such criticism with a preceding sketch in which Lovejoy has an hilariously misjudged Jamaican brogue. But all in this is a wonderful reminder of this way this creative duo forged a unique niche in British comedy. You'll be glad that when it comes to their classic material, they did not let it lie.

BBC News, 5th February 2016Dad's Army review
Michael Gambon is glorious as Godfrey and Toby Jones charms as the deluded Captain Mainwaring in a "fond, flag-waving if faulty" film.
Mark Braxton, Radio Times, 5th February 2016The real-life wars of Dad's Army actor Arnold Ridley

BBC News, 5th February 2016Isy Suttie review
The ex-Peep Show star co-opts Roy the papier-mache penguin and her Slovenian flatmate Anya in a warm and wise show about her quest for love.
Brian Logan, The Guardian, 5th February 2016Why the women of Walmington are on top
Captain Mainwaring's wife speaks! For anyone who knows the Dad's Army TV series, this fact alone will be enough to tell you that the movie version is marching to a very different tune.

Previews of Romesh Ranganathan, Wring Out The Clowns and Bowieoke Circus.
James Kettle, The Guardian, 5th February 2016The Rack Pack: Did it score a maximum break?
Unveiled on the evening of the Masters Final (and the iPlayer team offer their huge gratitude to Ronnie O'Sullivan for winning so quickly everyone could watch both), the film has generated a huge response on social media.
Steve Williams, BBC Blogs, 5th February 2016Comedy review: 25 Years Of Reeves And Mortimer
Well, they just wouldn't let it lie. Having spent the first 15 years of the 21st century away from the live arena, and with a series of small screen setbacks under their belts (the canning of Shooting Stars, the ditching of House Of Fools and the online catastrophe that was their ill-titled Afternoon Delights), Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer chose a relatively safe set for their 25th anniversary tour.
Brian Donaldson, The Scotsman, 5th February 2016Romesh Ranganathan's comedy hero
The Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee and Asian Provocateur star picks some iconic Americans as his comic idols.
