Taskmaster. Image shows left to right: Frankie Boyle, Ivo Graham, Jenny Eclair, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Mae Martin
It's nearly the end of the series, and the pressure is so intense that Mae Martin immediately forgets the only rule to a task. Greg Davies demands to be educated about history - but the five comics only seem to know about the year 1066. And there's paint, stomping, poor time keeping and some impressively sneaky prizes in this sort-of semi-final.

Prize task: The sneakiest thing.

- Kiell Smith-Bynoe: A spy pen that recorded Greg Davies speaking, as he signed something for Tseikna Ensgith, which is an anagram of "Sneakiest thing". - 5
- Frankie Boyle: The book Orlando The Marmalade Cat, which he read to his children to send them to sleep, but they got bored of it so her made a fake cover for the book, entitled Harry Potter And The Kung Fu Death Cult, to trick them into thinking it was something else. - 4
- Jenny Eclair: A dog mask, concealing a copy of her book The Writing On The Wall, in the hope of getting some publicity and sell more copies. - 4
- Mae Martin: A knock-knock joke, split into multiple parts and hidden among the panellist's pockets. Also, they are wearing a pair of Alex Horne's socks that his wife sent to Mae in the post. - 4
- Ivo Graham: A fake dictionary, inside of which is a copy of the world's smallest dictionary. - 2

Task 1 (Team Task): Make these things the same colour as those things. People on bottles must stay on their spots at all times. You may perform ten bottle stamps and two bottle squeezes. Best colour matches wins. You have ten minutes. Your time starts now.

- Everyone: Both teams got their items (an aubergine, a mango and a potato) the same colour, although both broke some rules. - 5

Task 2, Part 1: Put three single-digit numbers in the slots, then open the second task. Part 2: Deliver a one-minute lecture about the year you selected. Your lecture must start in 15 minutes from now. Most informative lecture wins. You may not leave the lab.

- Ivo: 1125 - 5
- Frankie: 1417 - 4
- Mae: 1123 - 3
- Jenny: 1642 - 2
- Kiell: 1500 - 2

Task 3: Make exactly 99 holes in this piece of paper. Your holes must have a diameter of at least three millimetres and form a recognisable picture or pattern. If you make more or fewer than 99 holes, you are disqualified. Also, if you look at Alex or speak to Alex at any point, you are disqualified. Fastest wins. Your time starts now.

- Frankie: 5:51 - 5
- Kiell: 11:47 - 4
- Ivo, Jenny and Mae: Disqualified for talking to Alex. - 0

Live task: Combine two of your things to equal the height of the thing said by Greg. You may not use any of your things twice. Worst guess each round is eliminated.

- Kiell - 5
- Ivo - 4
- Mae - 3
- Frankie - 2
- Jenny - 1

Final scores

- Kiell - 21
- Frankie - 20
- Ivo - 16
- Mae - 15
- Jenny - 12
