Steve Nallon, actor, author, drama teacher and impressionist most famous for doing the voices of Margaret Thatcher, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Roy Hattersley and the Queen Mother on Spitting Image, donates his own larynx to the Museum. Nallon once damaged his own larynx doing voices.
Polly Morgan, a London-based artist who works as a taxidermist, offers up a hognose snake in a tupperware box. She was once trying to get some snakes from an unreliable client, but when the box arrived, she got just one snake, and it is so good at playing dead that the client didn't know it was still alive.
Randall Munroe, a former worker in robotics at NASA who went on to create the comic strip xkcd, provides 10 to the power of 39 litres of soup. This originates in a question sent to him by a five-year-old girl called Amelia, who asked him what would happen if the solar system were filled with soup out to Jupiter. It turns out that if you had that much soup, it would collapse in on itself, forming a black hole.
