The Museum Of Curiosity

BBC Radio 4 panel show where guests donate to a virtual museum. 91 episodes (pilot + 15 series), 2007 - 2020. Stars John Lloyd, Bill Bailey, Sean Lock, Jon Richardson and others.

Gallery 16 commissioned.

The art for the audio release is drawn by Katie Scott, as a result of a competition held on the QI website.

The news that Jon Richardson was to become curator for the third gallery was announced by Dan Schreiber on Richardson's Wikipedia page. Schreiber announced a competition to see who could find out who the curator was by finding the edit he made.

Each of the exhibits is housed in their own room in the museum, according to the show's sleeve notes. One room, No. 9, actually houses two exhibits according to the notes: "Nothingness" and "Inventions Being Used For Things They Were Not Desgined For".

Meeting Nineteen (Episode 4.1) attracted 12 complaints from angry Christians, following Francesca Stavrakopoulou's appearance on the programme (she donated God).

Reportedly fans of The Archers hate The Museum of Curiosity, which is on just before the long-running soap opera starts. This is because they catch the last five minutes of the show and they are normally talking about something rude. Before one episode in which they were talking about public lice, one Archers fan tweet that this was disgusting to talk about and the show should be axed. Someone was replied to this saying: "I agree, #TheArchers is terrible."
