Ha! Was just thinking about that.

Oh, cheers! :D

Wikipedia (yes I know) explains it the same way I think of it :

The League of Gentlemen is primarily a sitcom, albeit an unusual one. It consists of a series of sketches which come together to form an overall story. Since all the action takes place, and nearly all the characters live in the same village, there is much overlap, and the events and characters of one story play a part in the lives of others, much as in a soap opera. There is usually a main plot to which the minor stories tend to be tenuously connected.

:)

I'd check again in 5 minutes or so - it might just become a sketch show :)

Interesting list. I like a cluster of the ones you mentioned, but am either not too keen on the rest (hate Summer Wine) of haven't seen a great deal regarding some of them.

Don't get me wrong, I despise the late episodes of Summer Wine, but you watch the episodes from 1973-1985, you will see episodes that are pure gold, tremendous dialogue and hilarious situations, not like you see today- too many characters and people falling down hills. And thankfully no Howard or Marina on bicycles. But the early episodes were true gold.

But you're wrong Aaron. And Matthew is sexy.

Why thank you.

I think I will have a top ten of old ones too. 'Cos my brain only thought of new ones so far.

Wait a minute...I didn't write that! Unquote me dammit!

We knooow you didn't. It's a BSG tradition, unfortunately. :)

Nobody pays attention to anything he quotes, don't worry!

I'd be interested to see Aaron's top ten, but I very much doubt he'll let us know.

Yes, but quite what that has to do with this thread, I don't know.
