Top 10 British sitcoms ever Page 7

*adopts*

1. Coupling
2. Green Wing
3. Open All Hours
4. The Good Life
5. Father Ted
6. The IT Crowd
7. Black Books
8. Blackadder
9. Red Dwarf
10. Outnumbered

That's taken me aaages. :)

Oh the bloody IT Crowd.

Good, but not a top 10, even for an IT typey (ish) like myself.

Oh balls, Coupling was really good (before Jeff left). Might watch some of that now actually.

Ahh, spread the Coupling love. :D

Top 50 is necessary. (But not right now. Gawd.)

What was the one with Uncle Mort and the Grandad that kept saying "I heard that, pardon?" I remember that as being good at the time.

I Didn't Know You Cared.

I Didn't Know You Cared.

That's the one. With Robin Bailey, who was also in the last series of Potter. There were some magic conversations between Potter and John Barron's character, they both had conversations at the same time but the conversations only occasionally touched.

Today, my list is, in no particular order:

Fawlty Towers
Porridge
Dad's Army
Blackadder (II especially)
The Office
One Foot in the Grave
Brass
Peep Show
Coupling
Father Ted

But tomorrow it might be different.

Wonderful, wonderful series !

Ay, well, um.

3. On the Buses

I genuinely feel excused for always assuming Jack is considerably older than he really is. Probably an OAP. Possibly with dementia.

Going back to the issue of The League of Gentlemen, you could argue that the third series is much more sitcom like because each episode involves the story of one main character (with a few sketches thrown in).

Yes, I argued that. Series three is a sitcom/anthology styl-ee thing.
