Having bagged Hollywood stars Olivia Wilde and Evan Rachel Wood to star in their off-Broadway play, the girls set to work on their directorial debut. Doll, however, would much rather be on stage and is only settling for a director role because of Em's upcoming film.
While Doll struggles to navigate the Big Apple, Em faces juggling family life with work commitments and, when Olivia an Evan join the girls for dinner, Doll and Em aren't overly enamoured with the stars' interpretations of the roles as older women.
