Aisling Bea, Bob Mortimer, Mark Watson, Nish Kumar and Sally Phillips are the chosen quintet who all harbour the same dream of lifting the premier prize in television, sport, or indeed, any field at all: Greg's decapitated head on a spiked plinth. First up they play basketball without hands, get stranded in a lake and devise special cuddles for a special someone.

The stage is all set for the wedding of the year between James and his Welsh fiancée, Eirwen, but nothing ever goes to plan in Carsely. First, an unfortunate paintballing mishap leaves the couple splattered in their finery. But ruined attire matters little when Eirwen is shot dead the night before the wedding, and Agatha must take on the case to clear James's name.
