The BBC has announced a major new comedy. Upstart Crow, written by Ben Elton, will focus on William Shakespeare. The cast includes David Mitchell and Harry Enfield.
ITV2 has ordered another series of The Almost Impossible Game Show. Comedy duo The Rubberbandits will once again provide the anarchic commentary.

ITV is making Brief Encounters, a six-part comedy drama based on the autobiography of Ann Summers lingerie boss Jacqueline Gold.
E4 has ordered a second series of Chewing Gum, the new sitcom set on a London estate written by and starring Michaela Coel.
