Christmas TV is thin gruel this year, but last night the BBC gave us two small crackers. Ghosts and Motherland were the best festive specials I've seen so far.

Royle Family 2009 Xmas special had disastrous blunder

After days of hard work filming integral scenes, there was horror when the footage came back from the processing lab. Two days worth of filming was for The Golden Egg Cup was ruined - putting the whole episode in jeopardy. And it came at a staggering cost - £100,000.

Kunt: Boris Johnson song is No. 1 on Amazon chart

An offensive Christmas song about Boris Johnson has claimed the number one spot on the Amazon Music chart. The insulting track, titled Boris Johnson Is A F****** C*** by The Kunts, was released back in October but gathered momentum in the Christmas number one race after the prime minister implemented strict new coronavirus rules, including tier four ruining festive fun for millions of people.

Gavin & Stacey removes Fairytale of New York slur
