Morwenna Gordon moves to Expectation

Morwenna Gordon

Morwenna Gordon, commissioner at Sky, is to leave the broadcaster for production company Expectation.

The independent producer has hired Gordon as its newest executive producer in an expanding scripted comedy team, under Creative Director of Comedy Nerys Evans.

Founded by co-CEOs Peter Fincham and Tim Hincks, the company already has a number of upcoming projects for Sky One.

It is currently developing entertainment shows Redknapp's Weekend Warm-Up and Alan Carr's Telly Pilot, whilst GCHQ-set sitcom Intelligence begins its first series in mid-February.

Gordon, a commissioning editor since 2016, acted as the broadcaster's executive producer on the latter series.

She tweeted today: "I'm VERY excited to be joining the brilliant Nerys Evans over at Expectation!"

Other Expectation formats include BAFTA-winning In My Skin, Alma's Not Normal, Channel 4's Alternative Election Night.
