Guide Spotlight The Night We Got The Bird

Learning disability campaigner and master farceur Lord Brian Rix died on Saturday morning, at the age of 92. Now largely overlooked, in the 1950s and 1960s he was one of Britain's best-loved comedy names. A star of both stage and screen, he produced and starred in many hit farces on stage, television and film, at one point even becoming the BBC's joint highest-paid star.
