The Old Guys - Series 2 Page 6

No, not a particular fan of either - but there's something about the new one that I actively dislike, rather than just don't care for as was the case in Series 1.

The theme tune is still some kind of criminal offence.

Whistling nnocently

Ivor Cutler is still controversial then, 40 years on.

Well dislike even more then!

Ivor Cutler sang the original. This series it's Lloyd Pack.

No, Series 1 was Lloyd-Pack. THIS series is Swift and LP.

Series 1 was the Ivor Cutler original.

Sounded exactly like Lloyd Pack to me.

May sound like him, bit it isn't.

But it must beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

In real life, isn't Roger Lloyd Pack very posh sounding?
Also, whatever happened to his daughter, the one who was in Wish You Were Here, about the young Cynthia Paine.

Why would they go from having just the one of them singing it to the both of them singing it?

The first series version sounds exactly like Ivor Cutler.

It also sounds exactly like RLP. Maybe it's a mystery that shall never be solved...

But his voice singing it in this series sounds EXACTLY like the voice which sung the first one.

The world has gone mad I tell you.

This might help people come up with a judgement:
Ivor Cutler- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5fA184R6EA
First Series- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGFa7AuVxFQ

I personally think it could be either RLP or Ivor Cutler, but if pushed, I'd go for Roger Lloyd-Pack.

His Dad Charles was a very good character actor from the 1960s and 70s.
