As I don't watch watch the show much, I was wondering, can anyone tell me why the character of Munch is so called?

By the way, speaking of Munch, did you know that the actor who plays him, once won a few million quid on the lottery? Apparently it was arond the same time that he got his first major T.V. role.

I don't think that they tax the winnings directly, but it goes towards your general overall income and wealth and that... Yeah. I don't recall exactly. I'd have to ask my grandad ('cos he worked for Inland Revenue).

So, is there a reason for him being called Munch?

I'm not sure if it was actually ever stated. I certainly don't recall offhand, and Wikipedia's drawing a blank. All I know is that it ISN'T his real name, and that we have not (as yet) been told his real name.

Actually, now that I think about it, I think it was his mum or dad that had the lottery win.

IMDB says it's his parents who won.

Isn't it something to do with the fact he really likes yoghurts? (says me who has only seen about four Two Pints episodes in his whole like and doesn't actually have a clue)
