We've just seen loads of bee type things outside the window
Great!

It's so unfair. Bees are struggling but these evil f**kers are thriving !

They might be June bugs a month late. We had them a few days ago.

John Shuttleworth always calls them jaspers

Dunno why

Oof!

Wasps ain't so bad. Only panickers and children ever get stung by them.

I see way more bees than wasps. Only ever seem to see wasps near bins. Feel sorry for them really, bees get to hang out in nice pretty flowers.

Bees have great PR but they're essentially big dumb lunks, bumbling around like dogs. Poor old wasps are the despised underclass.

I would like to cuddle a bee.

Sorry wasps. Although I don't think they're much for cuddling anyway.

Oof!

I think it's a country name for wasps. I've heard a few people round here call them that.

They're available free to a good home.

Buyer collects.

I see them more like aggressive, opportunistic parasites - City types who work at the Stock Exchange, bankers etc. They don't strike me as an underclass at all, but rather full of themselves, in their flash yellow and black stripes. They'd probably drive a Porsche, given the chance.

Or a Beetle... >_<

I can see a new David Smith thread coming up: If you were an insect which car would you drive?

Ford Scorpion, Renault Ant Lion,

Laughing out loud

If you were an insect which car train would you drive?

And then, of course, five years from now, Steve (Sunshine) would resurrect it and the madness would start all over again. ;)

that, I must say, is utter shite. I was stung by a wasp that I didn't even know was there - it had manoevered itself between my wrist and the sleeve of my jacket.
Today I swear I saw a wasp which was about 2 inches long. At first we thought it was a dragonfly but the colour was wrong.

Me too. I thought I was weird. Now I know it's a perfectly normal thing to think :)
