Goooooooal!!!!!

Feck...1:1

Double-feck!

Triple-feck!

"snigger"

Schnit.

'And Rooney lifts the World Cup aloft . . . '

A good night's results.

A good night's results.

That's odd, the last Chelsea fan I spoke to, which was today, wanted a Chelsea vs Man Utd Semi Final. Now they get to face Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or Athletico Madrid.

Doesn't seem like a good result on the face of it.

Ha! 'World class' wayne Rooney ...

Over rated is a huge understatement

"Mickey Rooney maybe..." I'd have said a few days ago.

I'm more shocked at Barcelona going out in the Quarter Finals. Barca fans make Man Utd fans look like Arsenal fans when it comes to managers and trophies.

Gerado Martino - yep, I had to look up the anonymous fooker - out!

From The Guardian's reader's comments tonight . .

There are many words to describe Manchester United's performance this evening.

Passion.
Desire.
Hunger.
Courage.
Commitment.

Alas they fail to convey the true greatness of this away day endeavour.

But one word truly sums up the performance today.

And I'm quite certain you'll all be in agreement.

Yes.

COURAGE!!

For many young men a night in the Reeperbahn is the rite of passage into manhood.

Tonight David Moyes young charges entered the Allianz Arena as boys.

They left the pitch as MEN.

Bravo, Europe is proud of you.

Last night I finally realised that my 10 year-old son was a true Chelsea fan - not just doing it to please his old Dad.
It was with a proud heart as I watched him roll on the floor in helpless laughter as that Bayern goal went in, 21 seconds after Utd took the lead.

Yes, if truth be told, it would have been good to see the likely Champions go out - but I was secretly dreading a Chelsea v. Utd semi.

Tonight:

Basel lost another key player during the last Swiss league match. I hope the b-team and the 3 goals from the first leg are enough to reach the semifinals.

Good luck, Gordon! Hope you win.

That Valencia badge/emblem is pretty cool though.

WHAT THE FUCK?

Feck! 1-0 for Valencia after 37 minutes.

2-0.

3-0. :(

Overtime...two red cards against FC Basel

4-0.

5-0.

What a shitty evening.
