The stop-frame animated special will chronicle another of family favourite Shaun's adventures and introduce a mischievous pack of llamas (Hector, Fernando and Raul) to our screens.

When the Farmer and Bitzer go to a Country Fair, Shaun steals away with them intent on causing mischief.

Besotted by the exotic creatures he spots at auction, Shaun cleverly gets the unwitting Farmer to buy them. Back at Mossy Bottom Farm, Shaun is delighted with his prank and convinces the flock that the llamas are just what they need to spice up their lives.

At first, everything's great fun, but soon their new llama room-mates get a bit too comfortable in their new home. When things spiral out of control, Shaun is forced to take action to oust the intruders and save the farm.

Shaun the Sheep: The Farmer's Llamas, review: 'riotous'

Christmas feels that little bit more magical with an Aardman animated special to curl up on the couch to.

Ed Power, The Telegraph, 26th December 2015

Radio Times review

In this latest adventure Shaun visits a local fête and ends up mistakenly bidding for a trio of - as it turns out, wildly destructive - llamas. The moment when sheepdog Bitzer realises what is happening and tries to stop him is beautifully done and the llamas' subsequent reign of terror at Mossy Bottom (they can only be placated by pan pipes) is animated havoc at its best.

David Butcher, Radio Times, 23rd December 2015
