Sir David Frost introduces the final episode of the comedy-drama which explores the strange conversations, clumsy comments and wild musings of President Nixon as recorded on his White House tapes.

This week, Nixon's obsession with the power of the media comes to light as he speaks to special counsel Charles Colson about his TV appearance the previous day. Also meeting with Bob HR Haldeman and evangelist Billy Graham, he blames the media for the "filth and anti-Americanism" in his country, promising that if he was to get back in to office he would "take care of it".

Later, he goes a step further, when he speaks to Haldeman, during a break in a foreign policy discussion, about his ambition to destroy the television networks and establish his own news-producing organisation.

The series ends with Nixon's nervous and mindless small talk with the camera crew and his security staff while he waits to go on air with his resignation speech. It ends with extracts from his final address to the nation in which he became the first President ever to step down from office.
