Last week's cryptic question
Which former elf is joining her transgressor co-star and a mourner to answer a beer - and where would Malcolm Hardee listen to it?
This question, which is about a quiz itself, stumped everyone.
See the answer
This cryptic question is inspired by the most famous cryptic quiz around: BBC Radio 4's Round Britain Quiz, which features many comedians and writers as guests.
Former QI Elf (researcher), and now star of The Chase (The Vixen), Jenny Ryan appeared on the most recent episode, representing the North of England team. Other current contestants are fellow Chase star Paul Sinha (The Sinnerman - transgressor) for the South of England team, and Cariad Lloyd (host of death-themed podcast Griefcast) for the Wales team.
They are answering to a beer because one of the question writers for the current series is Lucy Porter (who also co-stars in the quiz podcast Fingers On Buzzers with Ryan).
As for where Malcolm Hardee might listen to it... he used to listen to the show when he was in prison, and demonstrated he knew all the answers, to the amazement of his fellow inmates. What Hardee didn't let on was they were listening to repeats.
