Went to a charity shop today and picked up Carry on Abroad for £1.99. Never seen it. Seen little of Carry Ons - was impressed by Screaming, enjoyed the last half hour of what I saw in Matron on BBC Two on Saturday night, so hopefully I'll enjoy this one.

It's one of the weaker ones. Hence being in a charity shop.

Having said that, Matron isn't exactly strong.

There was also Carry on Dick and Carry On Henry in there.

Dick is brill. (Oo er.)
Henry's pretty good too.

Blott on the Landscape now down to £5.98 at Amazon. Great price for a 1 hour episode comedy series. Great series too. Cadell's finest hour. Just ordered it.

I'm Alan Partridge Series 1 & 2 now down to £4.98 each at Amazon. Won't get better than that. Aha!

I bought the whole set when Delagdo or Eldorado or some such issued them as a partwork.

Paid well over the bleedin' odds for them but they look nice on the shelf because each spine contributes to a caricature of all the main performers !

And boys are collectors after all !

:)

Frank Skinner Stand-Up (Live from Birminghams NIA)

£4 in the remainder bins in Morrisons.

De Agostini.

I got a couple of those, but they were a bit pricey. Wish I had carried on now though, really want those magazines if not the DVDs themselves. :(

There's a pocket guide essential of Carry On films and Dick only got 1/5.

Those things are written by the kind of people who think that Carry On Screaming is the best thing ever.

In fact ... *checks* ... yes, 5 out of 5. Surprise surprise.

Carry on Screaming is a true classic though and is well worthy of 5 out of 5 I think. Harry H Corbett was top notch in it and so was Talbott Rothwell's script.
