In adverts nowadays
Should we be bothered
For centuries us men treated women like they were second class idiots
We didn't even trust or want them to have the vote
We were the intelligent ones - women were just housewives who knew nothing about the serious things in life ,politics, religion etc etc
Stick to baking and embroidery ladies- know your place, let us chaps deal with the serious stuff
So now , if they get a wee bit of payback by making us like nobheads on TV adverts etc

Yes we should complain, and so should women. One of the problems with this sort of sexism is that it hurts both sexes; imagine all those talented females that went unrecognised throughout the centuries, surely the whole of humankind is poorer as a result. Think of a female Leonardo, Einstein or Nelson, who never had the chance to show us what she was capable of.

How do you get dumb chicks to buy shit they don't need? Show them that you are on their side by doing a bit of man-hating.
The people who own and run the companies selling crap to women are all men, from the manufacturing to the marketing to the retailing and are more then happy to snatch cash from their unsuspecting purses.
So if blokes are misrepresented on adverts, it's no biggy, we still win in the end.

I do feel sorry for the ladies in the Boots and Asda adverts. Such empty, dreary lives. It's like the feminine mystique never happened.

I don't, they're fully complicit in the exploitation and wouldn't have it any other way. Not that men are any different, it's just that we're more demanding with how people sell crap to us.
It's kind of the opposite of the male / female porn watching dynamic - we want stories, characters, jokes, whereas they just want the blatantly lurid stuff shoved in their faces.
I don't think the advertising world knows anything about real people of either gender. I don't know what they're doing with their time, but it's a load of old cobblers.
