When I lived with my parents I would sometimes sit in the garage smoking; sad I know, but it was dry. Anyway, on one occasion I heard some shuffling behind me (which freaked me out for a second or two), looking down I saw a rather large hedgehog sniffing around my shoe. To say I jumped is and understatement. After realizing I was fine, I sat there with it and smoked the night away.

She's right. I put dishes of the stuff out for them (at no small cost!). Also, the catfood attracts slugs etc, which hedgehogs also feed on.
