What have you seen at the Theatre? Page 2

What do you think?

Well it was the second time I've seen it, and may see if there are any returns I can get this weekend.

I'm planning to see the Lion King in May.

I've heard good things, anyone here seen it?

Is it good? Do you cry like a girl when Mufasa(?) dies?

I like your circle of life. Smarmy

I've seen it three times - still don't feel I have seen everything as there is so much going on. We all cried.

Have seen loads of musicals, G&S, Operas, comedy, drama, novelty acts speciality musical acts - up to four pages now, which is too much for you all to read but it has been great remembering them all. Coming up I have tickets for:
All The Fun of the Fair
Only Men Aloud
Ukulele Orchestra
Charleston Chasers
Chorus of disapproval
All the fun of the fair
Pluck
Whiter than Snow
Frankenstein
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra 80th Anniversary concert with Lesley Garrett

You poor thing.

I've met her a couple of times and saw her in The Sound of Music and in concert. She is really nice. I'm sorry you don't like her. Well, I'm off to bed now. Goodnight.
Wave

Avenue Q - best thing EVAH
Chicago - two or three times. Also best thing evah.
Grease - good!
Beauty and The Beast - wasn't my choice. Completely forgettable.
Tap Dogs - ...see above

A comedy about that Spanish dude who nicked all the Africans' gold.
A production of Misery
A play called Bash
Love's Labour's Lost

Erm... surely there must be more.

Do the live shows of The Mighty Boosh and The League of Gentlemen count? And pantomimes?

Pantomimes are the height of sophistication, so yes.

The only Disney musical I've been to is Aladdin, which was hilarious.

Sounds good to me! I read a few good reviews too, but always good to hear it from someone directly I suppose.

Macbeth
A Midsummer Night's Dream
The History Boys
The Phantom of the Opera.

The History Boys

:)

Was it good? What cast?

I've never seen a musical. Though I always wanted to be in Starlight Express because I love roller skating.

It was amazing, and I saw it twice last year (in crap and then good seats), but I'm *very* likely to say that as I saw the film and love the written text.

Irwin : Tim Delap
Hector : Des Barrit
Headmaster : David Mallinson
Mrs Lintott : Elizabeth Bell
Posner : Daniel Fine
Dakin : Andrew Hawley but I saw the understudy, Gabeen Kane, both times.
Scripps : Thomas Howes
Rudge : Ryan Hawley
Lockwood : Sam Phillips
Akthar : Alton Letto
Timms : Danny Kirrane
Crowther : Nathan Stewart-Jarrett
TV Director : Lennox Greaves
Make up Lady : Amanda Reed
Boy : Gabeen Kane
Boy : David Osmond
Boy : Adam Foster

One of my fave companies is Theatre Alibi. They do loads of kids stuff! I also like Earthfall dance, Cardboard citizens, and DV8.

I have seen...

Joseph And His Technicolor Dreamcoat, twice.
Starlight Express
Jesus Christ Superstar
The Tempest
The Giraffe And The Pelly And Me
Pygmalion
The Lion King (Which was brilliant Paul.)

There are more, I think, but I cannot remember them or they were pantomime.

http://www.theatrealibi.co.uk/ There is the website. Shelf life has been my fave of theirs so far.
