Newsjack - Series 3 Page 27

Reminds me of this bit in QI:

I'm sure I heard somewhere ( quite possibly on the rest of the show after this) that women are less likely to laugh at female comedians for some reason. But I suppose the reasons why less women perform comedy might not be too disimilar to why less women try to write for it. Who knows.

I managed to answer my own question as I've just received an email from Newsjack HQ. I have something in tonight's episode.

Writers for this week are up. well done to those who got on. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00sz554

Japanese crab eaters and Lord Ashcroft as comedy topics? What about Baron Prescott and Fabio Capello refusing to leave?

So Newsjack producers are like heroin pushers. Last week was my first submission and I got in without paying any angst or paranoia; this week the price has gone up...

The Lord Ashcroft news? Didn't that break on Wednesday morning?

When is the deadline for last vox pops?

Do we have a separate set of rules for one, and another for the rest of us?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm(breath)mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

And the Cheryl Cole malaria story broke after 12noon on monday, so that can't possibly be the subject of any sketches.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm(breath)mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

See above FCW

Hmm, not having much luck this series. Obviously it was only Tilusha who liked my stuff :)

Dan

Tilusha. Lovey

Well done all those who got on.

I'm listening to it now and am a bit disappointed. It really is just Jupp interviewing a succession of whacky experts. One dimensional. Although the graduate sketch was good.

I'm a bit bemused....

I got the 'You're in' email this evening but I can't for the life of me see what I've supposed to have contributed.

It's either a mistake or they took the sketch title 'Police Protection' and just wrote a completely different sketch!

Aw, Chipolata - you beat me to it.

At least we have a template to write to next week.

Probably cut at the last minute. Happened to me last year.
