I've had strange reactions at work, sort of positive in a backhanded way, along the lines of "oh I didn't realise you had tattoos, you don't seem the type".

My son has two tattoos...he got his ear and eyebrow pierced a while back too. I can't say I thought much of it at all. He told me, showed me and we all carried on with our lives. Yup.
