19 more episodes of hit slapstick CBBC sitcom Danny & Mick have been filmed. The new episodes will start on the channel in early 2021.

Producers Tiger Aspect say: "Ready to launch on CBBC in the new year, the hapless brothers once again are faced with an array of brand-new challenging tasks, but this time from their new leisure centre manager Sharon. How will they fare when confronted by Mick's doppelganger? Can they re-build a shattered statue before the official unveiling at Pottsfield? And what silly pranks will they get up to on the duo's favourite day of the year... April Fools?"

Real life half-brothers Danny Adams and Mick Potts take on the lead roles again. Nina Wadia, who played boss Joy Stickler in the first two series, has left the show, but Jocelyn Jee Esien joins as their new manager Sharon.

The producers say: "The new series has more of the brilliant silliness, chaos and mess as the comedy pros, Danny Adams and Mick Potts, continue on their mission to bring slapstick back to a new generation. They're supported by the brilliant cast of Rob Carter (Lance), Shalini Peiris (Naomi) and of course Danny and Mick's real-life dad and kid's TV veteran, Clive Webb (Clive).

Danny and Mick said: "We're so looking forward to sharing the new series with the Danny & Mick fans and bringing some classic slapstick chaos to CBBC!"

The new episodes were commissioned as Series 3 and Series 4, however ended up being made together. Filming started two weeks before the first national lockdown, but had to stop. They resumed in August, working under COVID filming restrictions, with the cast in a bubble. It has yet to be decided if all the episodes will be shown together as Series 3, or if they'll be shown separately as two series.

This episodes are directed by Tim Hopewell, produced by Helen Burt and the head writers are Ciaran Murtagh and Andrew Barnett Jones.

Executive producer Tom Beattie comments: "We are incredibly excited that Danny & Mick will be back for a new series! This series is brilliantly funny and the whole Danny & Mick crew have done an amazing job under the filming conditions this year."

In a 2019 interview with BCG ahead of the first series, Danny Adams and Mick Potts said: "We really love working together and have done so since we were kids. We've also been trying to get on the TV for years as well, and it's amazing that our weird humour is going to be out there for more people to (hopefully) enjoy! Our mums are also really proud. As is Dad obviously."
