Further details

It's a year since Zoë Angell walked into the offices of Semple, Callender & Henty for a divorce and met Alec Callender and the two began their 'May to December' romance. Alec decides that the time has come to propose to Zoë. Zoë however is understandably not overly keen on the institution of marriage after her last encounter with it and is worried that Alec will indeed propose. She is wondering how she can turn him down without hurting him too much.

Meanwhile Miss Flood buys some flowers to commemorate the death of Buddy Holly. [This episode contains a marvellous piece of comedy by Paul Venerables who plays Jamie when he comes into the office with Buddy Holly specs on and begins serenading Miss Flood with That'll Be The Day]
