On the episode that aired on October 6, presenter Victoria Coren Mitchell made reference to how the actor-turned-activist had been fired by GB News for his sexist rant against political journalist Ava Evans.

The TV production company behind Have I Got News For You and Mastermind made record profits last year, new accounts show. Hat Trick Productions, led by former stand-up comedian Jimmy Mulville, benefited from successful shows such as Derry Girls, with accounts for Hat Trick Holdings (2019) revealing total revenues of £50.3million in 2022, up 15 per cent, and record profits of £5.3million. The company, owned by Mulville and his wife, Karen, paid out dividends of £2.7million.
