David Amess death prompts BBC1 schedule changes

Have I Got News For You and The Cleaner have been pulled from BBC One's schedules tonight (Friday 15th October) following the death of David Amess MP. If the name of Amess is familiar to comedy fans it may be because he was one of the people duped into condemning the fictional drug "cake" in the Chris Morris comedy Brass Eye in the early 1990s.

Geoff Norcott to make HIGNFY debut for 'impartiality'

Geoff Norcott, the UK's "only declared Conservative comedian", will make his debut as a panellist on Have I Got News For You.

Norcott, who claims to be one of the few Tory-voting stand-ups in an industry dominated by left-leaning comedians, will be a guest on the BBC One satirical show on Friday 15th October.
