Edinburgh Fringe 10x10: Ten shows about sport

There doesn't seem to be much of a crossover between sport and art at the Edinburgh Fringe. Of more than 1,300 comedy shows we could only just find ten with any sort of sporting theme. Here goes...

Comedians announced for Glasgow Comedy Festival Closing Gala

Organisers have said that alongside the presentation of the first ever Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award, Janey Godley and Paul Black will be joined by comedians Liam Farrelly, Marc Jennings, Scott Agnew, Weegie Hink Ae That?! and Jay Lafferty - all ably compered by Susie McCabe. Judy Murray and the third Murray brother, Duncan, are also set to appear. More acts are still to be announced.

National treasure and succinct David Cameron biographer Danny Dyer lands in the host's chair for that increasingly rare thing: a must-see episode of the game old panel show. Ian Hislop and Paul Merton will patronise him at their peril. In the other guest slots are comic Sara Pascoe and Judy Murray.

Brendan O'Carroll's Irish mammy has bossed her way through radio plays, novels, stage shows, an unstoppable sitcom and a movie. So deploying her as a Saturday night chatshow host welcoming celebs into the Brown family lounge - a place where the fourth wall is regularly demolished - doesn't actually seem that weird. Pop prophet Louis Walsh, tennis matriarch Judy Murray and a presumably bemused Pamela Anderson are the first guests.
