Judi Love and Russell Kane have each landed a new Channel 4 documentary.

Love will present Black, Female And Invisible on 17th October, exploring how she's managed to defy the odds stacked against most black women living in the UK, as she discovers damning statistics on profound inequalities in health, education, work, and other key aspects of life.

Meeting the real people behind the figures, the stand-up and Loose Women panellist will also be speaking to the inspirational women determined to change things for the next generation, with the film featuring as part of Channel 4's Black and Proud season, marking October as Black History Month.

Meanwhile, Kane is taking part in a show about male fertility, which features a series of experiments designed to improve his sperm quality and count.

The father-of-one and committed health "hacker" will take part in the show, provisionally entitled Celebrity Save Our Sperm, alongside Made In Chelsea star Ollie Locke and Radio 1 DJ Melvin Odoom.

The trio will be advised by Embarrassing Bodies doctor Anand Patel to undertake eight weeks of lifestyle changes. The hour-long programme will highlight the fact that sperm count has dropped in the West by 59 per cent over the past 40 years.

Clemency Green, senior commissioning editor for Channel 4, says: "Male fertility is such an important subject that is rarely discussed and I'm full of admiration for Ollie, Melvin and Russell who are helping us break taboos by opening up the conversation and putting their own fertility under the microscope."

And Elaine Hackett from programme-makers Crackit Productions, added: "Often we think fertility issues revolve around women, but male sperm count is falling at an alarming rate.

"Ollie, Russell and Melvin have got balls to take part in this one-off event as, alongside the good science, it's deliberately designed to be surprising to put saving sperm in the spotlight."
