The cast of Green Wing have reunited for a six-part podcast sitcom. Green Wing: Resuscitated is available from today via Audible.

Audible says: "Spanning six episodes, Green Wing: Resuscitated features the original cast and takes listeners back to East Hampton Hospital. Created once again by Victoria Pile, and scripted by original writers including Robert Harley, James Henry, Oriane Messina and Fay Rusling, established fans and new listeners alike will be treated to more surreal twists and turns in the lives and loves of East Hampton's staff."

The blurb for the series explains: "They're back! The all-star cast multi-award-winning cult hit comedy returns, with more surreal goings-on in the lives and loves of the doctors and staff at East Hampton Hospital (warning: contains very little medical content).

"Green Wing: Resuscitated picks up 12 years after the events of Green Wing, and it's all change at East Hampton Hospital... Guy Secretan (Stephen Mangan) has become a media personality, adding TV appearances and podcasts to his work as an anesthetist; 'Mac' MacCartney (Julian Rhind-Tutt) has returned from several near-death experiences to pick up as a surgeon, and Caroline Todd (Tamsin Greig) has been making waves in America as a medical pioneer.

"There have been promotions for both Harriet Schulenberg (Olivia Colman) who is now East Hampton's Head of HR, and Boyce (Oliver Chris), who has been made head of radiology. This doesn't mean that Alan Statham (Mark Heap) has left the hospital - while his killing spree with Joanna Clore (Pippa Haywood) lead to her being imprisoned, his lawyers got him off with a spell in psychiatric care, and he has returned to work under Boyce. Not everyone has changed circumstances, though - Sue White (Michelle Gomez) remains as East Hampton's staff liaison officer, and Martin Dear (Karl Theobald) is still not a doctor, despite having been training for the exams since we last saw him..."

The six episodes also feature acting roles for Margaret Cabourn-Smith, Lauren Douglin, Simon Kane, Lorelei Mathias, Oriane Messina, William Sebag-Montefiore, Nimisha Odedra and Paul G Raymond.

The episodes are free to listen to for Audible subscribers. For those not currently a member, the platform is offering a 30 day free trial or three months of membership for just 99p. Listen to 'Green Wing: Resuscitated' on Audible

Green Wing - The Complete First And Second Series Plus Feature Length Special

The complete first and second series plus feature length special of the award-winning Channel 4 comedy. Green Wing is the BAFTA award-winning series that is part surreal soap, part innovative comedy drama--and largely set, despite a bizarre lack of medical content, in a hospital.

Devised and produced by Victoria Pile, the show stars Tamsin Greig as the idiosyncratic Dr Caroline Todd; Julian Rhind-Tutt as the fop-haired, wise-cracking heartthrob Dr Macartney; Steve Mangan as the lustful love god Guy Secretan; Mark Heap as stammering, neurotic Statham; Pippa Haywood the tyrannical, age-obsessed Joanna Clore; Michelle Gomez as the terrifyingly unpredictable staff liaison officer Sue White; Karl Theobald as endearing failure Martin Dear; and Oli Chris playing Dr Statham's nemesis student, Boyce. Also stars Sally Philips as Mac's ex-girlfriend and Olivia Coleman as an overworked mother of four.
