In the last 3-4 years the writing for the show has lost its spark.

Lost its spark the moment Angus left IMO.

Contrary to what Merton would assert, Angus used to put a lot of work into making sure the chairman's script was up to snuff, now lame gags culled from Twitter are read out by a celebrity with the comic timing of the talking clock. Stephen Mangan has been the only half decent host this season - and I hate Stephen Mangan.

I really don't like the way they have started to show YouTube clips, very lazy.

The guest host format after Angus left revitalised the show for a good few years. So I don't buy that as the point things went downhill.

Ray Winstone was awful, couldn't enunciate, does anyone know why he directed ALL the questions to Ian's team and not Paul's?

Also, what was Paul on? Giggling like I've never seen him before, throwing water over himself?

A true legend on tonight!

I thought that a couple of years ago but it seems to have improved again.

Have they run out of guests for each show!?
