What are you watching on TV? Page 1,910

Maybe they think people will complain about 'violence'.

Definitely could have been shown at 8 though.

I expected at least five boobs and three willies by this stage.

Sounds more like Embarrassing Bodies.

Just looked up the original plot of The Three Musketeers, this was nothing like it at all -

Something has seriously gone wrong at the script writing department at the BBC, this was childish, predictable, uninspiring, forgettable rubbish.

At least they're consistent

Pretty meh that, just another Merlin, Robin Hood, Atlantis-esque show. Just makes Sherlock look even better.

It was alright. Better than Atlantis.

Compared to that bucket of lepers abortion Sherlock is Shakespeare, but then it makes Postman look like Pinter.

Better than Atlantis.

High praise indeed.

Laughing out loud

Except for Atlantis (the only good one has Stargate in front of it) all of the other BBC productions are based on the stories of previous authors and now we can chuck Musketeers on the list.

We moan about Hollywood making terrible remakes that piss all over the originals, yet the BBC seems to get away with their shambolic treatment of classic stories almost scott free.

And speaking of re-using material that has gone before -

Our television drama is a cultural ghetto, a never ending Jane Austen bukkake, where imaginations, not budgets, are limited.

What a clever chap this Renegade Carpark fellow is and no mistakin'.

Well unlike Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, Sopranos or any decent US stuff. Again this felt like there was no actual vision behind it, no guiding hand. Just another weak, soppy mess of loosely constructed ideas and cliches. From the near empty Paris cities, too the ooh olden times were smelly cliches pinched from better films and those awful, palid fight scenes. It might as well have been Spooks or that other thing that wasn't spooks or Atlantis.

It's when compared to this stuff Muff-it looks like a genius.
