The format was a bit confusing, what with the voiceovers etc. Looked a bit mockumentary as well...

It really was all over the place narratively speaking - the previously mentioned voice overs appearing and disappearing, the mockumentary bits featuring the accountant and the blonde woman, then the surreal element with beardy man wearing a dress and the toy monkey in the sock, then the quite literal toilet humour with spikey haired man having a poo - it was just a friggin' mess.

It is hard to believe that a team of writers came up with this dreck. They should hang their vaginas in shame.

I liked it. Loved the clapping monkey in the sock particularly.

:)

Hurrah!
I knew Marc would be on the side of the good and right-thinking.

Marc P, chivalrous defender of damsels in distress and iffy new sitcoms.

It's a hybrid like Green Wing - part sketch show part sitcom - its a skitchcom.

See above. :)

Don't you mean "Monkey"?

What I said ;)

I love Green Wing, but I don't know what to think of this one. I liked bits of it, but as a whole show, I'm not sure. The characters need to be developed further, I suppose.

I bloody missed it! When's the repeat?

Dunno, it's really hard, because I read the full script (about an hour's worth) and liked it a lot, but to fit it into 23 mins, it felt like everything but people saying 'shit' and 'vagina' had been cut, which is annoying.

It got a 40 minute commercial slot, which works out to about 28-29 minutes screen time, same as a non-commercial half hour sitcom. Should have been plenty to do the job as intended, I would have thought.
