You all seem to know far more about sitcoms than I do, I tend not to go looking for good ones from ages gone by, but just watch whats on the telly box at the time.

So what sitcoms from days gone by should I watch?

P.S. Already seen all of Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em.

I'm going to jump right in myself, with Steptoe & Son, Hancock's Half Hour, and Dad's Army.

Porridge.

Rising Damp. The Good Life. Yes Minister/Yes, Prime Minister.

'Allo 'Allo!, if you like a good bit of farce and innuendo.

Fawlty Towers.

Ever Decreasing Circles if you want to see Richard Briers finest performance, and a much overlooked gem of a show.

The Good Life can be quite, well, good.

Talking of Penelope Keith, I have a fireplace that was a prop in 'To the Manor Born' in my house. Would the BSG admin be interested in doing a feature on it, for reasonable rates?

I thought it was a bit wooden.
