Cecil is horrified to learn that George has invited the village leper over for dinner, and he's even more horrified when the village leper stands them up.

George has some exciting news to share. Miss Trimble (Sally Phillips) is popping over for dinner, yep, that's right, local-village-leper - Miss Trimble. While draft dodger Bert gradually warms to the idea, going so far as to have a bath, Cecil - a Mowbray for heaven's sake! - is utterly horrified, even more so when their guest stands them up.

Alarmed that a woman rumoured to have a highly contagious, permanently disfiguring skin condition considers herself to be above them on the social ladder, Cecil performs a complete switcheroo and sets out to win her friendship, whether she likes it or not.
