Well I've just accepted the quote with what has now been confirmed
will be no additional VAT. The bloke who disappeared into the ether
has been informed on his voice mail that I have found an alternative.

I can't really afford it but I can't afford not to afford it even more.

You didn't mention this before! Living in a shed - now that makes sense to all your worrying and frustrations.

In that case just line it out with a load of tongue and groove - simples!

Initially storage, so that I can empty a room at a time in my house to redecorate & then it will be my historic computer workshop where I will try get various old computers working before I donate then to The Centre for Computing History in Cambridge.
