Filth Page 3

Call me a juvenile nitwit, but I really enjoyed that.

Thank God it wasn't just me. :D

Lad mags are ripe for satire, but here the approach seemed to be to appeal to the audience who would buy them. Depressing.

There does not seem to be a thread for Penelope Princess of Pets, so I will just say it here - WTF?!?!

I loved that. Very funny. By far the best of the Labs. Hope it goes to series.

I really liked this one too!

This and Happy Finish were the only Labs I liked.

What's going on here? I thought Filth was excellent! Enjoyed it thoroughly and thought everyone was excellent in it. The ginger kid was a gazillion times less annoying than in that uni-thing (Off The Hook) and Danny Dyer was fab managing to play Danny Dyer in a different way to his usual way of playing Danny Dyer!

Top marks -- hope it goes to series.

Dan

Ginger kid (I'm sure he has a name!) was brilliant. Everyone was great, actually. I don't know where the 'bad acting' accusation comes from.
I'd gladly watch a series of this.

Ginger kid (

As 'Ginger Bloke', he used to do some very funny interviews on an MTV2 show, hosted by Zane Lowe. If anyone saw the comedy lab spoofing a film show, they were a bit like the pretend interviews in those. Only with musicians. And funny.

So the opening scene is a bloke, in an open plan office, during work hours, stood in front of his computer watching porn and having a wank. He is then discovered doing so by a co-worker, because, well, it's an open plan office during work hours. I didn't make it much past that.

Then you cheat yourself, Matthew. YOU CHEAT YOURSELF.

Maybe it did get better, but good lord, that first scene. No one, apart from someone with severe mental problems, a complete mongol if you will, would do that. Maybe I'll watch the rest later.

No. A later joke was about a big poo in the girl's toilets.

I seem to have started a blog thingy with 2 reviews on it.
One on Filth and one on Hung Out.
Is it okay to post the link or is that frowned upon? http://hollowshow.blog.com/
They're both quite long so it would save a lot of scrolling on the boards, also there's a few bad words in there.
Thanks to anyone who does! :D
Peter.

As long as it's relevant and about the show, it's perfectly reasonable. No different to linking to a real article (no offence), involving the subject.

Why thank you.
:)

Yeah, as Leevil says, no harm in linking to anything related! Your review was interesting (except the Danny Dire joke, lol).

I actually thought Filth was quite alright personally. The purile stuff should be got rid of (as Matthew points out, the wank gag isn't that clever) but the character dynamics are there for more adventures I think.

WTF!! What's with the talking over the programme by the announcer?!

Awful mistake by Channel 4 that!

The only thing I did find funny was when the Chinese lad stood up and admitted to listening to his neighbours having sex, then saying 'But I use a very strong listening device'.

It's weird because Yuki (the 'Chinese lad') was billed as a main character, but I think that's about the only line he had.

Danny Morgan. He got his TV break via Tonightly.

I'm going to do my bit now (ha ha) and point out if anyone ever wants to know an actor's name our guides are just one click away, linked to from the top of each thread :)
