Further details
Kicking off the first of this four part series, Vic & Bob interrupt a couple's cosy dinner date in the studio with a lively song and dance routine. Vic reveals his hitherto unseen circus skills and impressionist abilities while Bob makes a very revealing confession to a reverend who might be hiding a secret himself.
Later they are interrupted by Tom Cruise, who appears to be performing a stunt just up the road but seems to be more interested in what these pair are up to in the studio.
Fans will rejoice at the return of Novelty Island, and the contestants will certainly not disappoint anyone tonight. Graham Lister performs with his rather clever rescue owl 'Beaky', there is a very unusual act from a singing cowboy and Bill Decker demonstrates his unusual animal impersonation skills.
Midway through the show the boys take a well-earned supper break which leaves them feeling rather mellow before they reveal the celebrity secrets held within the exclusive Sandwich Club.
The show closes with the uplifting song You Can Do It - which proves anything is possible.

Vic & Bob's Big Night Out: review
It's taken Bob 30 years to get his name alongside Vic's on the Big Night Out but now, as a cult hero in his own right, he not only deserves equal billing but an equal share of the credit.
Telly Binge, 7th December 2018Vic & Bob's Big Night Out review
Don't analyse, just marvel as it takes flight.
Lucy Mangan, The Guardian, 5th December 2018Vic and Bob's Big Night Out review
Bags of soil, corned beef, and a talent show judged by Jeff Goldblum's ironing board had top billing as the chaotic variety show returned.
Sarah Carson, i Newspaper, 29th November 2018Reeves and Mortimer reprise their cult variety show parody with the first in a four-part series. Random questions - "How high is your cat?" - and a song-and-dance routine designed to sabotage romantic dinners are great, but top of the pile is "Britain's only gay man" and his pet owl on Novelty Island.
Mike Bradley, The Guardian, 28th November 2018TV Review: Vic & Bob's Big Night Out
I don't know how they've done it but Vic and Bob really have recaptured the old magic again. Actually I have got an inkling of how they did it. It's by shamelessly repeating some of their best moments.
Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 28th November 2018Vic & Bob's Big Night Out on BBC Four
You Can Do It should be an instant classic for all fans. It should also be a message to BBC executives considering whether to commission more episodes, from this ever-inventive duo who remain on peak form.
Steve Bennett, Chortle, 28th November 2018Vic and Bob's Big Night Out, episode 1 review
The duo keep up their infectious mirth with saucepan fights and dad jokes.
