Michelle is off out so Beth and Eric are looking after Alan, who is laid up on the sofa in a surgical boot and struggling to fend for himself after an accident. Meanwhile, recently single Colin is feeling chipper after a successful internet date, and cannot wait to tell the neighbours all about it.
