Series 2, Episode 4 - Going Solo
The boys have just played a gig at the Bingo Hall. It's a lesbian wedding, but Ash chooses to play their hit Lez Be Friends, which the two brides don't exactly warm to. It all leads to a huge row within the band, at the end of which Ash declares he want to go solo.
Since he doesn't really know how to be a rock star, Ash goes round to their neighbour Sloman, who used to be big in the 70s, to get some advice. Then, armed with his new look and new guitar, Ash goes to an Open Mic night at a local hipster bar, ready to unleash his new act to an unsuspecting public.
Only problem is he doesn't have a song to sing, and he can't play the guitar. That doesn't stop the crowd loving him though and it doesn't stop talent manager, Terror Moses, signing Ash to his company.
Meanwhile Stef and Dru try to recruit a new band member but it goes badly and they end up going solo themselves. Will they all survive on their own or are the Midnight Beast destined to always be together?
