Series creator Eric Chappell reveals the inspiration behind his comic creation and its journey to our screens. Actor Don Warrington, who played Philip in the series, returns to his adopted hometown of Newcastle where he revisits the Theatre Royal and reminisces about getting his big break alongside Leonard Rossiter and Frances de la Tour. The pair are then reunited at the former Yorkshire Television studios where the show was filmed in front of a live audience. Featuring classic archive footage, reunions and interviews with the cast and crew, revealing the stories behind the making of the hit 70s comedy.
