Comedian Jayde Adams is working on a TV sitcom pilot, the title and premise of which has yet to be revealed.

To test the format, a read-through in front of a studio audience has been organised for this June.

Described as a "laugh out loud comedy pilot for a major broadcaster", the show is being produced by King Bert Productions, the company created by David Walliams and Miranda Hart. It's other sitcoms include Big School and the forthcoming Sick Note. Madeline Addy, who has previously worked on shows including Sunday Night At The Palladium, will be the show's Producer.

Jayde Adams has been performing stand-up for several years now. She won the Funny Women Award in 2014, and was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2016 Edinburgh Comedy Awards. Her TV appearances as a comedian include 8 Out Of 10 Cats. Meanwhile she will return to the Edinburgh Fringe this August with a new show titled Jayde Adams Is Jayded.

As an actor, Adams has appeared in shows such as A Gert Lush Christmas and Borderline. Last year she created and starred in the one-off Sky Arts short Jayde Adams's Horror: Bloody Tracy, a light-hearted comedy about a ghost who works in a supermarket.

The read-through of her new sitcom will take place in front of an audience at noon on Tuesday 6th June 2017 at All Souls Clubhouse in central London. Tickets

Further details about the cast and format are expected to be revealed in due course. A spokesperson for the production company told BCG today: "This table read is for a project in development and there is nothing else we can say at this stage."
