Miss Flood and Gerald's wedding is getting nearer and Hilary is practising her catching in the hope that she will catch the bouquet and Derek will propose to her. Alec and Zoë are still trying to put the miscarriage behind them and get their marriage on track.

On the day of the wedding Miss Flood has an attack of nerves and nearly backs out. Alec and Zoë persuade her to got through with it by telling her all the good things about having someone to share your life with and that, for all the bad times, there are good times which far outweigh the bad. As they do this they sort out their own relationship as well as Miss Flood's. Miss Flood and Gerald marry and Hilary catches the bouquet... well sort of, it falls apart in the air.
