Sarah and Jack may have moved out, but Dot's moving in with her ornaments and attracts the attention of a gentleman caller, Arthur.

Pauline's being bullied by the estate agent from hell at work and Sarah wants Jack to sort their new home out, so he turns to Hebburn's best decorator, Big Keith.

Jack finally gets a proper book deal, but it's for a piece of work he never intended for publication. Vicki is bettering herself at college, while Denise realises Ramsey's incompetence means she'll need to start sorting out her own baby's nursery immediately.
