When Kwabena bumps into an old friend from film school who is now working at a production company, he gets the chance that he has been waiting for. Unfortunately, she fixes him a once-in-a-lifetime pitching opportunity that clashes with a career-saving presentation - forcing him to choose between going all in or giving up his dream entirely.

Further details

Kwabena is an aspiring filmmaker working a dead-end job in recruitment. When he bumps into Amy, an old friend from film school who has just returned from 3 years in Nigeria, she offers to pass his script, Jamaica Road, on to the development team at the production company where she works.

Whilst travelling on the bus on his way to pitch, Kwabs spots Vanessa who he is instantly taken with. He dreams about building up the confidence to speak to her but misses his chance, for now...

Following his pitch, the production company want to meet Kwabs the following afternoon, however it clashes with a work meeting and he's torn between skipping work and losing his job or sticking with financial security.

Meanwhile Kwabena's housemates - his cousin, Maurice, and Maurice's pregnant wife, Funmi - are preparing for the arrival of their baby, including practising hypnobirthing and Maurice reading up on everything he can surrounding pregnancy and labour.

Later, Kwabs and his work colleagues are at a karaoke bar and following an incident on stage, Kwab fills with rage and makes a snap decision that he may not be able to come back from.

On his way home Kwabs has a chance encounter and spots Vanessa getting off the bus. When her wig gets caught in the door he springs into life and fetches it for her, finally giving him the perfect excuse to introduce himself as their eyes meet for the first time...
