Further details
At a diversity mixer Kwabena and Amy meet Timothy Eastly, a prominent (& very white) industry exec, famed for producing successful films and TV shows...with black talent. Kwabena lays on the charm - enough to get Timothy to read his script and to consider him for a writing gig.
However, whilst drunk, Kwabs sees a similar show get announced, he immediately assumes the worst of Timothy and wrongly accuses him of stealing his idea. Has he ruined his opportunity to work with Timothy?
Kwabena meets Vanessa's bougie (and overprotective) friends, who grill him over dinner at a fancy London restaurant. They order champagne and oysters whilst a cash-strapped Kwabena sticks to soup. Kwabena is shocked when the girls want to split the bill and dreams of giving them a piece of his mind.
Meanwhile, Amy continues to struggle with microaggressions at work and Maurice continues his excessive worrying, deciding he and Funmi should go vegan for the health of the baby but Funmi has other ideas.
